Job Description


Madiro is seeking a dynamic Investment Analyst to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, conduct thorough due diligence, and support our existing portfolio of innovative health ventures. This role is critical in driving Madiro's mission to scale transformative global health solutions.

Full time remote position, regular working hours available for remote collaboration should include 12:00 to 4:00pm GMT, flexible schedule.

This role will report to the Fund Manager.


Responsibilities

- Identify Opportunities: Identify and source potential investment opportunities in the global health sector in Africa.

- Conduct Due Diligence: Analyze prospective portfolio companies and support the due diligence process, including financial analysis and risk assessment.

- Support Portfolio Companies: Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies to help them scale and succeed.

- Prepare Proposals and Reports: Research and prepare comprehensive investment proposals and Impact reports for the board and stakeholders.

- Organize and Communicate: Assist in organizing events and supporting communication activities to enhance stakeholder engagement.

- Contribute to Development: Participate in the overall development of Madiro, including refining investment strategies and impact measurement methodologies.

- Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships, enhancing Madiro’s profile within the health innovation ecosystem.

- Pipeline Creation and management: Development and maintenance of pipeline relationship

Qualifications

- Advanced degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; MBA or similar degree preferred.

- 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, venture capital, private equity, or a similar role, with significant experience in Africa or other emerging markets.

- Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and conceptual skills.

- Creative problem-solving attitude, showing a high degree of initiative.

- Strong ability to work in an intercultural environment and appreciate related challenges.

- High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently with senior management and other stakeholders.

- Proficiency in written and oral English; additional languages are a plus.

- Experience in digital health, public health, or global health in Africa is preferred.

- Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 25%).

- Full-time role

- Madiro has an office in Kigali. Candidates already located in Kigali may use the office to work. For candidates located outside of Kigali, this will be a remote role.

- Flexible location in Africa, with a preference for candidates based in East Africa. Preferable in Rwanda.
